Frequently Asked Questions
What is Botox and how does it work?
Botox is a purified protein that temporarily relaxes targeted muscles, smoothing wrinkles and fine lines, especially on the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes.
What's the difference between Botox and Xeomin?
Both relax muscles with similar results and duration. Xeomin is a “naked” formulation without added proteins, which may lower the chance of the body developing resistance over time.
How long do results last?
Results typically last three to six months, and many clients schedule regular touch-ups to maintain a consistent look.
Is there downtime?
Botox is often called a “lunchtime treatment”. Most people return to normal activities right away, with only minor swelling or bruising possible.
What is warm/cold fusion plasma, and how is it different from Botox?
Fusion plasma uses plasma energy, warm or cold, to stimulate collagen and tighten skin, rather than relaxing muscles like Botox. Warm fusion targets skin tightening and tone; cold fusion focuses on non-invasive renewal and reduced inflammation. Both can complement injectables as part of a broader rejuvenation plan.
Can Botox be used preventatively?
Yes, many younger clients use Botox preventatively to help delay the formation of deeper wrinkles by limiting repetitive muscle movement.
How much does it cost?
Botox is priced at $12 per unit, and Xeomin at $10 per unit. Your provider will recommend a unit count based on your treatment area.
